It was right around this time that Milton had the only undefeated football team in the state and one of thirteen in the entire nation, Oklahoma being the top team that year.  Red Oberbruner was our coach and we had an all-American running back, a transfer from the University of Miami football team and many other top quality players.  We were invited to a bowl game but unfortunately the school couldn't afford the trip costs.  Know how many players were on that team?  12!
